Watching Oliver and Amy in the courtyard, talking, laughing, knees glued together, Percy knows the other boys are wrong. Wood isn't brooding because “Cavanagh isn't letting him have it”. He truly doesn't seem to expect anything from her. Not sexual, not romantic.
It had made Weasley nurture this sick hope that maybe Oliver only saw Amy as a friend. A sister, really. But Percy would never look at Ginny the way Wood looks at Amy.
A way he'd never use with Percy.

Steve Harrington. Everyone knows him. You have to pretend you don’t.
Sometimes you picture yourself walking up to him during lunch time, straight up sitting among his friends at their table and saying something like “See you later this afternoon, Steve?” How ridiculously freeing that would feel, ridiculously validating.
“Hey, and um… I guess if I’m dating Nance and you’re friends with her, it means we get to be friends now” he chuckles “Publicly, I mean. We’re already friends”
You find yourself nodding, lips parted. For a second you allow yourself to think he spoke almost cheerfully about it. As if he’d been waiting for an excuse to talk to you in the hallways anyway.
But then again, why does he need an excuse to talk to you in front of people?

Now he strips his shirt off slower. Turns his back when he changes, even when it’s just the two of you.
Now, when he thinks no one’s looking, he disappears for a few minutes too long.
