Summary
Jason Todd returns to Gotham. He is not okay, and he is only too aware of it. He wants revenge. On the clown who killed him. On the family who was not there to save him. It will be - it should be - only the guilty who should suffer. Not the new little Bird. Not Gotham. Only the pair who should have been there.
But this is Gotham. Mind Games have a way of going horribly wrong. Jason might well find himself regretting just how effective his revenge has turned out to be.

It started slow, usually.
The headaches. It was the tiredness that preceded everything else — his body preparing for the onslaught of pain that’d last him for a day. Usually, he texted Bruce when a headache would take him out for the count, but… Spryal still left some untended, gaping wounds in his fragile chest, the size of Bruce’s relentless fists. Bruce didn’t know his routine, Bruce didn’t deserve to know his routine — let alone when he was at his most vulnerable.

So here he was, flying across the bars, pretending there wasn't a weight in his chest and a frown on his face. His family had grown, and he'd even gotten Jason back, but the heavy didn't dissipate. It didn't leave. If anything, it grew.
