"You... you don't know anything?" Mason asked
Theo's heart leaped in his chest. The premonition turned into a boulder pressing directly on his heart.
"I know what?" he insisted, stepping forward as if he could absorb the boy's answer by being close enough. "Mason, what don't I know?"
Mason looked up, his eyes shining.
"Liam..." he tried to say in a feeble voice. "Liam..."
Liam.
"Liam's at Eichen House," Corey blurted out in one breath.
OR
Liam gets locked up in Eichen house for his IED. Theo can't accept it.

Summary
Instead of Gabe and Nolan beating Liam up, they managed to lure the unsuspecting beta away. With the idea of Mason being in danger, Liam went with them willingly. This alone put Liam at risk, not knowing what to expect. Mason on the other hand panicked, after finding Liam's phone he knew something was wrong. He had to get help, he had to call Theo.

Summary
Doing what he could to redeem himself to the pack clearly didn't work. Theo's back in the hospital of hell, running from his sister. He's losing his heart, and his hope. No one will save him from hell this time; except he's not in hell. Liam's desperately trying to pull him from his nightmares.

Once they’re both exhausted from running, and the whispers are further away, Theo grabs Liam by the shoulder, stopping him in his tracks. “How are you here?” he demands. Liam throws himself into Theo’s arms, nearly knocking him over. He catches the beta, body tensing for a moment before Liam slides an arm around his waist, burying his face in Theo’s shoulder. He’s shaking, half a beat away from sobbing.Series

"I've been the archer, I've been the prey."
“Where’s my sister?” Theo lets the words out between his teeth as he looks around the tunnel with widened and terrified eyes, not loosening his grip on Liam even for a second, the heartbeat frantic in his chest.
Liam gets a weird feeling of deja vu and his heart burns.
“Your sister’s dead.” He somehow manages to choke out, trying not to burst into tears at the sight of pain and horror on Theo’s face. “She died a long time ago.”
Theo lets out a loud growl and digs his claws painfully into Liam’s flesh.
“She’s not here, you’re safe.”
(or, a universe, where after the war, some of the pack members still think that Theo isn't trustworthy and make a decision without thinking about the consequences that it might bring.)
