“Eddie I think it’s time you got rid of them” Robin spoke as she watched Eddie sneeze for what felt like the 100th time that day. In reality, it had probably been a lot more.
Eddie’s eyes grew wide and recoiled back dramatically as if Robin was physically going to snatch the cat from his arms and walk out of his trailer with it. He held Sabbath, higher in his arms practically on top of his head so even if Robin did try and grab her at least he would have the slight height advantage
“How could you even say something like that?! Orion and her babies are my babies! That’s like telling Steve to get rid of the kids!” He exclaimed as moved the cat back into his arms, meowing since she wasn't being cuddled anymore.

Xingqiu frowned, leaning his chin on the palm of his head and thinking back. It was true that Chongyun was very indulgent with Xingqiu, in a way he wasn’t with anyone else, not even Xiangling. He had been so for years so Xingqiu never chalked it up to being anything else. Chongyun was always ready, at his beck and call practically.
If Xingqiu wanted to buy some books, Chongyun would tag along and insist on carrying the massive pile that Xingqiu picked out at the store and lug it all the way home for him. If Xingqiu wanted to spend a few days away from the city and his parents were hesitant despite him being able to protect himself, Chongyun wouldn’t hesitate to volunteer himself and his claymore to protect Xingqiu.

"Where does it go?" Varka's warm hands on his shoulders again, drawing him closer until he collides with heat and fabric and a strong, sturdy body beneath. Flins' eyes stay open. His gaze sticks to the azure of Varka's coat. "Where does all that hurt go, if we can't see it?"
Inside, he supposes. Inside his cold, aching chest, where his flames aren't enough to burn it away.
Finally, Flins shuts his eyes, fingers hooking in fabric, mouth pressed to Varka's shoulder behind layers of fabric. Fool, he thinks again, and imagines himself biting down. Varka has never seemed to know not to get so close.
