Midoriya Izuku's quirk was not like his mother's, nor was it like his father's.

He couldn't breathe fire, like his father's quirk, either.Instead, he had wings. They were beautiful wings, each individual feather a white that faded to a light green.
Wings that could fade in and out of existence, allowing him to fly no matter if they were visible or not.Wings that could heal. Always.

Summary
From a young age it was apparent to Izuku that having a quirk isn’t all that it was cut out to be. When his own abilities poked its ugly head, he had wanted nothing more than to grow up and save people. This however was short lived, as quirkless people couldn’t possibly be a hero, now could they?
Fighting between decisions that could cost him his secret, Izuku will have to manage high school in a place where quirks were everything. Not only keeping up the facade of helpless, quirkless boy to those around him, Izuku finds that he’ll do just about anything for his mother, even at the cost of himself.

Summary
Izuku Midoriya just wanted to become a hero to help people. Even as he was diagnosed quirkless, he still wanted to become one, despite all the jeers and snarked remarks. Slowly, his spirit becomes crumpled, and given an opportunity at meeting his idol, All Might, he asks that one question on his mind. His dreams were crushed as he was left on that rooftop. Izuku realizes how cracked people's views are, given the example of All Might. So no, never again, he doesn't need the validation of people against him. He'll just become a hero out of spite and show them.

Summary
Izuku becomes a ghost after All Might shattered his one and only dream. He hopes someone would tell him he can be a hero. He meets Eraserhead and follows him, saves Shinsou, annoys the detective. Gets a cat. All that good stuff!
Or
Izukus a little shit after he takes Bakugous advice. He still has that hero spirit and helps Shinsou, becoming visible to the detective, soon friends with said purple haired gremlin. Aizawa is too tired to deal with all that bullshit and Yamada is happy to have some kids and an extra cat.
