Since then, she's noticed a few other oddities around the cove. A large purple iridescent scale, some long, sharp shed claws, and even odd scuff marks along the shore… like something had beached itself before returning to the water.
Zoey guessed that it could be an undiscovered species. So that was what her dissertation would be about! Whatever this thing is, Zoey is going to be the first one to discover it! It would do wonders for her career if she could name a new animal after herself.
