Summary
Scott Hunter has a system, okay, and this system prevents bad things from happening. He's well-aware of what happens when he maintains his system and what happens when he fails to do so.
When he flickers the lights three times before leaving before a road trip, the team plane doesn’t crash. When he puts the silverware away just right, Kip stays safe. When he drums on the counter in that specific pattern, no career-ending injuries occur. When he cleans, makes sure the floors are spotless, he knows he’ll be okay and feels the buzzing energy in his hands dissipate. When he silently prays as he lies in bed next to Kip before falling asleep even though he’s not been a practicing Catholic for years, he knows things will be okay in the end.
As long as he does what he needs to do, it will be okay.
It's been getting worse.

Summary
They get drunk on ouzo, and Kip sends Scott out for Hydralite the next morning, but all he brings back is thick Greek coffee, which is almost as curative. They soothe their hangovers with spanakopita, oily and flakey and eaten from each other’s fingers.

Summary
Hawkeye gestured vaguely, defeated, and pushed his hair back. It was significantly silvered. Half a year home, and he still wore the war obviously: grey hair, defensive slouch, the sort of taut thinness that suggested illness or endurance sport. He looked like a person who couldn’t get comfortable. BJ wanted him comfortable with an intensity that ached.
__Wrung out and worse for wear, Hawkeye can't enjoy himself the way he used to. BJ does his best to help him recover his enthusiasm. In the process they find new ways to appreciate each other alongside more corporeal pleasures: sleeping, sex, and of course good food.

Summary
By the end of the week BJ has put it out of his mind. He’s grown accustomed to waking up at a ridiculous hour of the night to the furious clacking of needles when Hawkeye is stuck in the restless hours of insomnia that plague him from time to time. Sometimes BJ will sit up with him, holding the yarn between his hands as they listen to the muted patter of the early morning radio. Or he’ll lie on Hawk’s stomach while he continues the rhythmic movement of creation.
BJ and Hawkeye can have matching sweaters, as a treat

Summary
“When I got the notice for the draft board, I knew–well, I thought I knew–what it entailed,” Hawkeye said, words cracking with subdued emotion. “War meant death, right? Blood and gore, loss, bombs and bullets, death and…more death. So much death.”
B.J. stayed quiet, throat tight and eyes misty.
“It was supposed to be me, Beej,” Hawkeye went on, voice jagged like broken glass. “I got the notice, I was going to this stupid war, this goddamned police action. Where’s the justice in this? The fairness of it all? If one of us had to die, why couldn’t it…why couldn’t it have been me? ”A call from the States, an unexpected death, the ensuing fallout, a different end to the war. Or, better yet, an excuse to put my favorite surgeons through the emotional wringer for a bit of fun.

Spock struggles with his sexually repressed upbringing when the blood fever hits. (Pretty standard K/S Pon Farr story, self-indulgently focusing on the aspects of it that push my buttons the most. I have no shame. Spock totally does, though.)
