The woods are full of different scents, some weak, some pungent, but none like his omega’s. Even with his omega nowhere in sight, Eijirou can still pick-up his scent, lingering in the undergrowth and pressed into logs. Honestly, it makes Eijirou’s mouth water, cayenne and toffee sitting heavy on his tongue, teasing him by remaining stubbornly out of reach.
He bares his aching fangs in a soundless snarl, jumping over a log.
Eijirou’s not that far behind, is he? He’d given chase after his omega almost immediately, blood singing in his veins, alpha pawing at his insides. His omega knew these woods better, though, and his lithe musculature makes for better agility and speed than Eijirou’s own stocky build. Such an impressive omega. No wonder Eijirou’s being made to prove himself, made to chase his mate through the woods, made to hunt him down. Predator and prey, and Eijirou isn’t sure who’s who.

“Um…” big brown eyes stared up at him as the girl Bakugou had just caught from falling turned towards him “My mom say it is only temporary. So, you’ll probably be fine.” That’s what the kid said after looking him up and down. Bakugous sour expression had the young girl grin and nod to herself, “Yupp. If it’s you, I’m certain you’ll be fine. Thank you Mr!“ Then she was off, running towards what he supposed was her family a little ways away. Nothing happened after that besides him finding a weird black circle below his bellybutton, so he had brushed it off as nothing and went on with his life.
Little did he know that such a quirk would make him experience something he never knew was possible.
