Simon wondered if he had entered some sort of harlequin romance novel. The dramatic re-entry of an unrequited love interest from years ago in a workplace setting was too ridiculous, right? What were the chances? Especially since Wilhelm was supposed to be cosied up in his plush cabin in Lagerfelt International, signing million-dollar deals and networking with the crème de la crème of Europe. Summary
Simon has taken a break from his celebrity life and has gone to a sparsely populated island off the coast of Sweden. He's looking for the source of his discontent and restlessness. Wilhelm has been living on the island for a while, almost a hermit. He is emerging from a deep depression that will slowly be revealed. This one is a slow burn.
There are few residents and two children. Island life is stripped down. Simon is tasked with building a new world, a new life for himself. Wilhelm reluctantly helps him.
This is not in canon in the slightest. It is about the slow maturing of a lasting love, breaking down the resistance of the two characters to fully embrace each other, in spite of their wounds.
And the fun part is imagining what it would take to live in the semi-wilderness and how we need each other to survive.

Their eyes stayed locked on each other as they moved, way too slow for the beat of the song but Simon didn't care. Wille's eyes seemed as deep as the ocean and he couldn't tear his gaze away. Imperceptibly he inched closer and closer and now their chests were touching and he had to crane his neck to keep the eye contact.
Subconsciously he darted out his tongue to wet his lips. Were they dry? They felt a little dry. Oh god. Were they about to kiss? He had never kissed someone so quickly after meeting them. But he couldn't help but feel this insane pull making him want to do exactly that.
Wille's face moved closer. Simon's knees grew weak. And they were not the only body part.
