Till remembers running. In that hallucinating haze, he cannot phantom a good enough reason to dig his heels in and stop. “We pass that glitch in the gates to get out, and we run — and then what?”
Ivan hums. His clothes are a confusing bundle — the too-long pants from the Garden, the rain-soaked jacket from the stage. His fringe is scarlet wet, plastered against his forehead.
“Who knows,” he offers.

He kneels on the cold bathroom floor and lets his love overflow him until he can’t breathe. His whole body is aching today, but that’s natural, it’s what the temperature drop does to him.
He chokes on his love and it spills red, but that’s natural, this is the only way Ivan could ever love.
(Red camellias, Luka would say, wearing a lazy smile with no teeth, the type that doesn’t reach his eyes. Symbol of faithfulness and longevity. Ironic, isn’t it?)

Till picked up the doll and stared at it. Is the world mocking him right now? The doll really looked like Ivan, dark hair, black eyes with red pupils, and the snaggletooth. Is this maybe an Ivan merch? Why is it even here?

"Who?" Till's voice came out choked, barely audible. "Who is it, Ivan?"
Shame burned in Ivan's cheeks in contrast to the cold dread coiling in his chest. Each ragged breath felt like sandpaper against his raw vocal cords. "It's..." he started, then trailed off, the confession caught in his throat like another blooming petal.
Something flickered in Till's eyes. "Ivan, please," he pleaded, his voice cracking. "Just tell me. We can figure out something, they can love you back, you will be fine-" The desperation in Till's voice, raw and open, sent a fresh wave of pain through Ivan. He wanted nothing more than to confess but the words refused to leave his mouth.
