Enjolras goes red and then white in quick succession. “I apologise,” he says. Even his full mouth has blanched, thinning down to a disciplined, painful-looking line. “I must have misunderstood.”
“I take no offense,” Grantaire says hurriedly, which is at least somewhat better, “indeed, I am flattered –”

Enjolras decides to take Grantaire up on his longtime offer. Only, Grantaire, as Hugo puts it, has long admired Enjolras' "chaste, healthy, firm, upright, hard, candid nature[...] without being clearly aware of it, and without the idea of explaining it to himself having occurred to him."

“The amnesiac has questions,” says Grantaire. Boyfriend grips the wheel. “Don’t worry, we’ll start with the 200 dollar Jeopardy trivia.” A semi roars past them. “What’s your name?”
The perfect sinew and bones of his fingers relax. “Oh,” he murmurs. Just like that, defenses lowered. “Enjolras.”
“Cool,” Grantaire says. “I’m Grantaire.”
Something happens to Enjolras’ face which, if you zoomed in, might be considered a smile. “I know.”
“How long have we been dating, Enjolras?”
The almost-smile is gone. The gameshow metaphor has become too apt; someone’s lost it all. “That’s complicated.”
Well. Grantaire should’ve known some part of this fairytale was too good to be true. He’s best friends with a streetsmart renegade and someone who wrote him a welcome-back-to-consciousness poem in godawful blue icing on an orange frosted cookie cake. There are nearly ten people who were waiting for him to wake up in a hospital room.

There were many things Gamora expected in the aftermath of Ego. Trouble adjusting to their new environment on the Eclector, the emotional fallout following Yondu’s death, struggling to work together cohesively with Mantis suddenly joining the Guardians, and her dynamic with the others as a functioning member of the team still had yet to be worked out. Those were just a few of the things she expected.
What she didn't see coming, however, was how Peter had started hanging out with Nebula more. Nebula- of all people.
It came out of nowhere, this sudden thing between them. Attachment? Friendship? It didn't make any sense. Gamora barely had time to bond with her own sister during and after the Ego incident, so when the hell did Nebula find time to bond with Peter?
She thought they hated each other.
Gamora refused to admit she was jealous of all the time they spent together, how they regularly communicate and meet up much more often than Nebula talks to Gamora, and of course she is never included whenever her sister and her maybe-kinda-boyfriend person have these meetings of theirs.Gamora/Peter, Gamora & Nebula sibling relationship, Nebula & Peter begrudging friendship
