    Summary

There’s no problem at all with a fun fling while working the summer Renaissance Faire, so long as the following unspoken rules are followed:
    1: Don’t fall too fast
2: Don’t figure out that you are fucking your future research partner

“Caitlyn, our new blacksmith needs proper garb before the gates open in the morning. Would you please show him to his site and introduce him to my darling tailor? It would seem he’s set up just across the lane from Jayce’s smithy.”

    Mel Medarda smiles.

“Please inform Viktor that he can thank me later.”

Jayce and Viktor have a couple problems.

    Summary

Jayce didn’t come to teach at Piltover University to develop a minor (read: major) obsession with Viktor, but here he is. The man is infuriatingly brilliant, dryly condescending, and has probably already dismissed Jayce as an overeager idiot. Fine. Jayce can live with that. What he can’t live with is the fact that he keeps seeking Viktor out anyway—asking too many questions, reading too many of his papers, lingering in his presence like some lovesick grad student. This isn’t a crush. It’s an intellectual challenge. At least, that’s what he’s telling himself.

    or

Jayce Talis, a young and ambitious professor, gets an opportunity he didn’t dare dream about - teaching at the Piltover Tech University. There, he meets Viktor - a slightly older, respected and extremely reserved colleague of his. Jayce is somewhat intrigued with the man, his studies in particular. He finds the way Viktor’s brain works fascinating - like his opinions and theories are somehow a puzzle piece that would complete Jayce’s own research. Jayce’s academic interest, though, turns into infatuation and full-blown obsession with the man rather than his studies.

    Summary

“Many travelers feel nervous about accepting rides for the same reason,” Hannibal says. “There is uncertainty on both sides of the equation. I have no way of knowing if you’re dangerous, just as you have no way of knowing if I’m, say–” He hesitates, licking his lips, and pushes the envelope. “A serial killer, for example.”

Will snorts his laughter, shifting to tuck his hands under his arms. “Come on,” he says, turning his head to look over at Hannibal. “The chances of two serial killers being in one car would be astronomical.”
