It felt like Loop was setting themself up to be an imposter of themself. They were nothing, so appropriately, they should look like nothing. But it wasn't as if having a sense of identity was a prerequisite for creating a new image in the mirror. Even dolls could be dressed up.
And it would... feel... nice.
They must be allowed to feel nice every once and awhile, right? Or at least, just this once?

While you are a little more used to touch now, you are never the one initiating. You’re not really sure how to know that it’s ok, or when someone is expecting it, but hopefully your warning here is enough for Loop. After waiting a few seconds, you rest your hand on their back, slowly moving from side to side. They let out a louder cry, are you doing this right? Are you being comforting?"

Bonnie bursts into tears the second they see them. "I'm sorry, Frin, I'm sorry, I'm sorry--"
Mirabelle, holding a hand on Bonnie's shoulder, looks like she wants to cry too. She can't meet Siffrin's eyes. Eye. It probably looks pretty bad, even with a temporary bandage to hide the worst of it.
Siffrin focuses on Bonnie. The last thing they saw clearly with both eyes was Bonnie frozen in fear, a Sadness racing toward them. And now, even if they only have one eye, they can see that Bonnie isn't hurt. That's good. That's good! They managed to keep them safe. They'd rather see Bonnie smile through one eye than see their corpse with both.

They can't accept any more help. It's not even about not wanting to bother the others, it's just--logical? Yeah. If they asked Odile, she'd call it logical. They need to relearn how to do things on their own with one eye because they're going to be on their own again eventually. So asking for help wouldn't just be bothering the others, it'd be holding themself back.

Odile blinks at you, still grasping for some coherence, before groaning lightly and massaging her temple. “Right.” She says, and takes the journal back, snatching it with a petulant look that you'd dare to describe as embarrassed.
You know you, at least, feel embarrassed. Being trusted with something so personal only to be too stupid to actually be able to read the blinding thing. You messed it up, you stepped in it, Odile’s gonna shove the journal back into its satchel on the nightstand and regret ever even giving you a chance to be competent. And she'd be right.

Hornet accepts it with grace, bowing her head slightly. “Thank you, little ghost.” Her voice is soft, warmer than Lace has heard in days, or perhaps heard at all.
Hornet cradles the bowl as though it were something precious, something more than soup cobbled together in the dripping remnants of a broken city. The steam curls up into the damp air, faintly herbal, faintly metallic, but she does not seem fazed. She inhales, slow, deliberate, as if memorizing the scent itself.
Lace watches her with a faint tilt of the head, her own bowl cooling in her lap. “Well,” she says, breaking the hush with her lilting tone, “I suppose I should feel honored to be included in such a family meal.”

Summary
You and Odile on the other side….
For you, it was a constant mockery of the very same god that thought so lowly of yourself and your culture. The god that basically bragged to you that they knew how the loops would end, but continued to let yourself and your family suffer through them for their own entertainment. The constant pain you felt knowing how easily they could dismiss you and your beliefs based purely on the fact that it was so powerful it destroyed itself and its entire existence.
But you were fine!
Siffrin suddenly realizes they have a whole culture they left behind. The rest of Vaugarde doesn't seem to care.

That’s it, then. You sort of never thought this moment would come, but it did. Vaugarde is saved. The King is defeated. Your journey is over.
Right. Mirabelle will stay here, or maybe go off on a pilgrimage all on her own. Isabeau will go back to Jouvente to pursue his dream. Bonnie back to their sister. And Odile to Ka Bue.
And you…well, you’ll return to traveling, of course. Just like before. That’s fine. It’s what you’ve always done. It won’t be any different than it was before.You’re just glad that this story had a happy ending.
A moment of hesitation and a faint memory leads Siffrin to make a different wish at the Favor Tree. The party of saviors find their final quest goes much more smoothly than they might have anticipated.
This is not a good thing.
