Summary
“The fans are eating up you being a romantic,” Rumi informs her with a smile. “They think it’s cute.”
Mira frowns, pausing her scratching under Derpy's chin (he does not seem to mind. Or notice. Honestly, Mira's not exactly sure if the tiger is even aware that he's alive, sometimes…). “I’m not supposed to be cute. Zoey is cute-”
“Aw, thank you!”
“-you are cute, puppies are cute, Derpy is cute.”
“Mira you’re very, very cute,” Zoey disagrees loudly from where she’s poking at a pot on the stove.
“No, I- ugh. Whatever, not the point. Why did you two say that, anyway, about me being some closet romantic?”
Rumi blinks at her. “Because… you are?”
“I am not- when have you ever seen me fawn over someone opening a door?” Mira scoffs, resuming her ministrations on their fluffy visitor.
“Never, but-”
"So why did you do that? Now people think I'm some swooning idiot."
“Right, no- Mira, I meant that you like to do those things.”
“Duh,” Zoey calls helpfully from the kitchen. In which Mira decides to sweep Rumi and Zoey off their feet, and Rumi and Zoey are too stupid (affectionate) to realize it.

Summary
After navigating the trauma from Rumi's surgery, the girls try to focus on preparing for their upcoming Idol careers.
Featuring:
Celine, trying her best,
Bobby, scared of getting too close,
Rumi, falling apart,
Mira, trying to keep it together,
Zoey, trying to figure everything out,
Gwi-Ma, trying to mess everything up,
And the Honmoon, omniscient, but confined to answering yes/no questions.Updates when I can, probably once per week. (Plus <200 word previews, also when I can.)
I'd recommend reading the first two parts for context, but Part 2 is kinda really long.

Summary
"Do you have any idea what it's like watching you drift further and further from us? Watching you turn yourself into something unrecognizable? Because I do. I've seen demons cling to human faces like masks. I've watched them mimic grief. Fear. Kindness."
"Mira." Zoey warns.
"And lately? When I look at you? I don't see the girl we grew up with and love."
Rumi's hands begin to shake. "...what do you see?" she whispers.
"A demon. I don't trust you. Not with me, not with Zoey, not with yourself. You're no different than any other demon we've come across. No different than Gwi-Ma."
There is a shocked silence.
Rumi face crumples, it reminds them of the way she begged just a few weeks ago. Begged them not to leave her. To love her. Things had been so good, she was selfish to think she could have this. To want this.
Her tone is flat and resigned. "Oh."-------
or Rumi tries to hide her full demon traits after the idol awards to protect Zoey and Mira from her, and out of fear that their new fragile relationship will break under the reveal. Mira lashes out in the worst way possible after she catches Rumi in yet another lie, and angst ensues.

Summary
Rumi grows up to fight. A weapon before a person, a tool before an emotion, a destiny before a choice.
Before worldwide fame, before becoming a music icon, before having her girls, before being the hunter destined to turn the Honmoon golden… Rumi was a child.
Shaped by her fate and by Celine. By a life she never asked for and a weight that thrilled her as much as it tormented her. Rumi wanted only one thing: to be loved.
…“Celine? Do hunters kill all demons?”
Celine doesn’t hesitate. It’s automatic, like the pull of a trigger. “Yes.”—Or—
A story that traces Rumi’s childhood, Celine’s fractured identity, the events of the film… and what happens when love stops being a cage.
Pre-canon, partial canon retelling, and post-canon. Polytrix endgame.Bookmarked by Silent-Wordsmith (Shatteredsand)
