Summary
Three-quarters of the way through Heated Rivalry (the book), Ilya asked Shane whether he'd ever been with anyone else. It turned out that he had; a man in Mexico, years before. This is how I think that encounter might have gone.
Folks who've read my other works know that I mostly write about Our Flag Means Death, and this story owes a little bit to that fandom. Nothing major, and you don't have to have watched OFMD. I based some of my OC's on that fandom, is all. They are:

Summary
The longer Shane waited, the more worked up he got, then he made a decision.
I’m going to tell him that we’re done. I’ll say “The two of us hooking up that one time in Toronto was a terrible idea, and we’re not going to do it anymore. I’m calling a halt.”
He liked that last part. “Calling a halt” was a phrase that sounded very serious, very adult. It might even be more than Rozanov’s knowledge of English would be able to handle, and what a joy it would be to set that smug bastard back on his heels and see him at a loss for once.
I’ll add something cool, like “See you on the ice”, then I’ll leave without looking back.

I couldn't get the boys' second hookup out of my mind! Most of my inspiration came from S1E1, but I was also influenced by the scene in the book, which is all from Ilya's perspective. I thought it would be fun to explore it a bit from Shane's. Hope you enjoy!

Summary
Stede Bonnet is 18 and about to start college. His entire life is mapped out for him - first college, then working for his father at BonnetCorp, then marriage to Mary Allamby - and that's the way he likes it.
Ed Teach is also 18 and about to start college as well. He's got plans for his life, and those plans don't include romance. He's ambitious and a bit of a hound, and that's the way HE likes it.
Two worlds are about to collide.
An "Our Flag Means Pride" Fundraiser commission fic. The title comes from the song "Impossible" from Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella, for reasons that will become clear!

Summary
Izzy supposed that he should be pleased that a queer-friendly show had garnered so much attention, and he was. Sort of. Mostly, though, he was bitter. His beloved Republic of Pirates was queer-friendly too, and its leads had sizzling chemistry, due to having been friends in real life for decades. It deserved every bit of the accolades that Heated Rivalry was receiving. Instead, it had been cancelled when it still needed one more season to finish telling its epic story.
“A story that didn’t have to resort to shoving chiseled abs and rock-hard pecs and explicit sex scenes in the viewers’ faces,” he fumed silently. “A story told the old-fashioned way, with brilliant performances and clever, witty dialogue. The 'Heated Rivalry' creators wouldn’t recognize those things if they tripped over them.”

Izzy is certain that the new "gay Canadian hockey show" isn't worth his time.
This is the latest installment in my "Izzy's Hobby" series. I'd recommend that you read the others before reading this one (they're pretty short and very fluffy). I wrote it for Day 3 of the 2026 OFMD JanuAUry PromptFest, for the prompt "Any TV Show".

Ed took advantage of the all-too-brief period of solitude to lean against his office wall and close his eyes. Visions danced in his head, not of sugarplums, but of soft golden curls, a dazzling dimpled smile, and those amazing legs.
“Oh, no,” he groaned quietly. “That is so inconvenient.”
You can’t get a crush on an employee. You can’t. It’s number one on the list of Things Thou Shalt Not Do When Thou Becomest a Politician.
His head wasn’t getting the memo, and neither was his heart. Too bad. They’d just have to lump it.

Summary
So, Ilya doesn’t know why he says it.
“You invite all your men into bed like this?”
It’s out of his mouth before he can stop himself.
“What?”
Shane sits up with a jolt and glares at Ilya, who can’t believe those words came out of his mouth.
“What did you just say to me?”All is well – if it wasn’t for the way it irks Ilya that Shane had said “I haven’t either, not since the last time” after they had arrived at the cottage.

“Holy shit, dude,” Hayden whispers, too loudly, as he pulls Shane away. “No way you were just talking to Ilya Rozanov.”
“Uh, yeah. We just met. Wait, did he lie to me?” Shane asks, looking back over his shoulder where Ilya is now standing next to a short but very muscular woman with long black hair. “What does he play?”
Hayden stops, so Shane does too.
“You don’t know who that was?”
Shane makes a face that says ‘no shit’, and waits for an answer.
“Dude. You are so innocent. Ilya Rozanov, ‘Russia’s Greatest Love Machine’?” Hayden says, like it’s obvious.
Shane looks at him blankly, and then Hayden laughs. Not like, a chuckle. He full on cackles, bending over like he can’t even contain it. “Man, he’s like prolific.”
“At what?” Shane snaps, because he’s getting really sick of not being in on the joke.
“He’s a porn star, man.”
“A-” Shane says, swallowing thickly. “What?”
