Black and grey, with white pure skin, a ruby of blood blazed at his breast, and eyes that gleamed like living sapphires so vibrant Hob could barely maintain eye contact as he nodded an affirmative.

Hob frowned, not knowing what to make of Lucifer’s proposal, so he uttered the one question that seemed the most pressing among the others “But how will I know that you held up your end of the deal? How can I be sure that Dream will be with me?”
Lucifer’s bright smile transformed into a grin, as they proudly stated “You can’t. That’s why it’s going to be so interesting, Robert Gadling.”

Summary
The young man turned, and asked, determination and cowardice both flickering in his eyes, “Professor, do you think it’s wicked to help the devil?”
For a moment, Hob thought - and tried to not let his mind dwell overly long on an entity he had long thought demonic.Is it wicked to help the devil? Less than to love one, surely.
A story in which Hob becomes a history professor a century earlier, Alex receives some inspiration towards bravery, and Dream is very grateful indeed.
