The apocalypse has come and gone, and against all odds, Pharloom remains standing. The time has come for Hornet to return to Hallownest, accompanied by friends and allies: Shakra hopes to explore the mythical land beyond the wastes, and properly lay to rest a member of her own tribe; Lace fears unraveling without the aid of a Weaver, while contending with the immensity of a future free of her mother’s threads; and the Green Prince lives only only to spite the Citadel, passively seeking a more honorable end than might be found in the rubble of his homeland.
Meanwhile, Hornet returns from Pharloom with magic and knowledge that might aid in the slow recovery of Hallownest and Deepnest–and perhaps offer the chance to call home the sibling she once thought lost to her forever.

Summary
Over the few thousand years that passed after the solarians extinction and the second chance given - the descendants of Shuanshuan would have lived on through the generations. In the modern day, they would have been part of the Fusang Organization, which seeks to keep hidden the Fusang roots and any evidence of the Solarians hidden from the world.
Meanwhile, the Federal Bureau of Control hides a different secret that they wish to protect - the existence of paranatural events and entities which could threaten reality and as such - humanity's existence. When an AWE occurs at Hualien, which houses one of Fusang's research facilities, a team of FBC agents are sent over to investigate.
Thus, a new tale begins to unravel as a long forgotten past is brought to the present.

For the first time, the Terminals speak with Gabriel as he goes on his search for V1 after slaughtering the Council. The Terminals reveal to Gabriel there is a place that V1 likes to go to relieve stress. A place it calls the Sandbox. In the Sandbox, anything is possible. Such as stopping the lack of light from killing Gabriel in 24 hours. Gabriel takes advantage of the Sandbox, and decides to explore it himself.

Since V1 defeated Gabriel in Heresy and ventured forth into Violence, the angel has become an increasingly frequent (and altogether unwanted) visitor. It began as brief visits, but has devolved into him giving obnoxious commentary during fights, and sometimes he even tries to "help out" by fighting with V1. V1 doesn't understand why the angel is so clingy. It can't seem to shake him.

Summary
Ghost ends the Infection much earlier, leaving Hallownest with something of a society that must now pick up the pieces. Catastrophic resource shortages, an unstable political landscape, and a population scarred by plague leave every able body stretched thin. Still, Hornet is grateful for her mother's presence, something she never thought she would have. This is, of course, complicated when a chorus from Pharloom attempts to capture a weaverling. With the weavers as a whole too injured to run, and no longer able to hide, a new solution must be found: diplomacy.
Pharloom is starved for Silk, as it always has been. When a chorus returns, bearing news of Mother's wayward children, Lace expects things to stay the same. Unfortunately, these stray weavers are guarded by a Wyrm, and Mother is reluctant to challenge another higher being in her diminished state. However, she cannot simply let her children go. Diplomacy is the only option.
