    Little is known about Viserra Targaryen. She was the most beautiful of Queen Alysanne Targaryen's daughters, a vain, wild, and ambitious girl. When she was fifteen, her mother betrothed her to Lord Manderly, a man old enough to be her grandfather. No one was willing to speak against the match, so she tried to seduce her widowed brother, Baelon and gain her freedom. Unsuccessful and resigned to her fate, Viserra snuck out with her friends for one last night of laughter. On their way back, there was an accident, and the Princess fell from her horse and died.

    Or: Viserra did not die that night, and instead, the Fourteen Flames showed her the horrors of the future. Forewarned, she will stop at nothing to protect those she loves.

    And as the victor, Robert Baratheon was the one to hand down the punishment for those who fought against him. Chiefly, House Targaryen and House Tyrell. The daughters of both Houses would serve the punishment of their kin.

    And so, by royal decree, Margaery Tyrell and Daenerys Targaryen were both betrothed to the Lord of Winterfell's base-born son, Jon Snow.

Stannis dying at Storm's End leads to Rhaella and Daenerys being captured, and Robert forcibly betrothes Dany and Margaery to Jon as a punishment, this sowing the seeds of his own downfall. The Faith Militant reforms way earlier.

    Westeros comes apart at the seams after the destruction of King's Landing and the death of Daenerys Targaryen. Jon Snow departs to Beyond the Wall, where winter no longer holds sway over the land, running from his name, his heritage, and his duty.

    But when a new threat rises from across the sea, and forces him to come back to everything he'd thought he'd escaped from, he learns that Alliser Thorne was right: Jon is destined to fight their battles forever.

    Takes place after season 8, with three major divergences: Rhaenys/Aegon live, Jon is named Aemon Targaryen, and Bran does not become King; rather, Westeros splits into independent kingdoms.

    COMPLETE as of 7/14/2021. Might undergo minor revisions, but it's done :)

    House of the Dragon by kebabeater1. Jon/Rhaenys, Aegon/Arianne, Aegon/Daenerys, Arya/Gendry, Bran/Meera, Ned Dayne/Sansa. A post-Season 8 fic that does a pretty good job creating a good story from a steaming pile of shit. Daenerys is resurrected and completely sane, but still feels tragic and somewhat sympathetic. Sansa is incredibly dislikeable for a while but does get better over time. Bran stops being the 3ER and the Seven Kingdoms split back up as they couldn't agree on a king and Sansa set the precedent, and Jon must reunite them to face Daenerys again. The Connington storyline felt pointless though, but it only took up a little of the story anyway.
