Summary
Her boots press deep into the vegetation, the squishy green of the moss flattening beneath her. The nymph lounges in front of her, still a good distance from where San Niang forces herself to halt.
“Do you-?” San Niang starts, cringing at the way her voice squeaks out, disturbing the peace of this grove. “You want me…to come closer?”
She is hesitant as she looks down at the girl, careful to keep her eyes from roaming too much. It is a slippery slope she knows she will be helpless to resist if she allows herself to indulge.
The nymph blinks with what San Niang tentatively recognizes as mirth, and nods. Her eyes track San Niang as she steps forward, kneeling down in front of her when she reaches her side. Her head tilts, golden brown locks falling over her shoulder, and she lets her arms fall back. Lowering herself fully to the forest floor, the nymph stretches out.
Or, San Niang meets a nymph in the forest.

I got a suggestion in the comments to write a sequel to A Sleepless Night in Puqi Shrine. I wasn't planning to, but I kinda couldn't get this idea out of my head, so...here goes nothing!
This is Xie Lian and Hua Cheng getting used to their new relationship and their new dynamic, awkwardly discovering more about each other and their own selves.
