Summary
Now usually Shroud the hero is no fan of kids that aren't his-- they're loud, abrasive and annoying, but Mechaman was undeserving of having the most toughest kid he had ever known as a son.
The only thing he felt when he put that bullet into his wretched ex-friend's heart was sorry for the grief that young Robert would suffer through.
Or: AU where Shroud was another father figure/babysitter for Robert.

Summary
Jaskier has an unfortunate habit of landing himself in ridiculous situations, especially when it comes to a particular Morhen Reserve Witcher. Needing to be rescued from a tree. Getting turned on at inappropriate times. Developing a crush once they’ve become friends. Missing all of the clues that the attraction is mutual. Accidentally discovering that his crush has a sex dungeon. Being so overeager he doesn’t properly follow instructions.
The point is, he’s in over his head. Good thing Eskel is there to make sure he doesn't sink deep enough to drown.

Summary
“What,” says Nirei, jaw slack with surprise.
“What,” Sakura says back.
“I must admit,” 'Leonardo' says, “I wasn’t expecting that to backfire the way it did.”
(Watch enough movies and even an idiot like him will pick up enough words and phrases to form a handful of sentences. He just never had the chance—or people—to test the extent of his vocabulary.
Not until Furin.)

Summary
Kotoha knows, alright? Sakura, he looks at the world in a way that it betrays how he's been treated. She doesn't know the details, can only focus on giving him a home here, where he belongs. She thinks that if she ever meets them, the people who raised him to think that he was only good for violence, that nobody would care for him, she'll have to be dragged off them.
But they love him here. All of them. He belongs to them in a way that betrays logic, betrays reasoning, betrays blood. He's loved here, and nothing will ever change that.
One day, there's a boy in her cafe, and he has eyes that she's only seen, quite literally, once before.
(Sakura's brother realises some things too late. He tries to make things right. He meets the people who got it right the first time around.)

Summary
Almost a century ago, Essek had met a person who shaped the entirety of his life. A human, disguised as a drow, somehow alive and well despite being in the very centre of the Dynasty. A brilliant wizard disguised as a merchant, somehow capable of casting dunamancy. And not just any spells - Essek didn't even know one could possess such power.
Now, standing in the shadows of the Bright Queen's throne, looking at the ragtag group in front of them, he barely kept his hands from shaking. One of the intruders, a red-haired human, looked exactly like that mysterious man from his past, but a decade or so younger.
Humans didn't live that long. And they certainly didn't age in reverse.
This was impossible.
