He’s wearing Roy’s old Academy pullover, Amestris-blue and overly baggy, creamy bits of thigh peeking beyond the worn-patchy ends, and Roy reaches out; pulls Ed in, close, rubs his nose along the smooth length of his jaw, one hand gripping a flesh thigh tight, the other teasing under the front of the fabric to run flat up Ed’s stomach.
That’s when he catches a whiff of something and stills, pulling back to look Ed over.

“I want to talk to you, Edward,” he whispers. “We need to talk.”
“Fine,” Ed says, flat with frustration and disappointment. He kinda was looking forward to getting kissed again. “I don’t think you’re really listening to what I’m saying, though. We’re married, and I’m stuck with you, and if I’m going to be stuck with you I’d at least like to have some fun sometimes where I can get it. I liked having sex with you. I’d like to do it again, at some point. Preferably soon. I’ve got a lot of lonely heats to make up for.”
Still staring at their abandoned breakfast, Roy asks softly, “And what happens when you get pregnant?”
Even with his eyes averted, Ed feels like he’s been slapped. Suddenly Roy’s looming over him is a lot less hot and a lot more threatening.
Or, the one where Ed insures that, even if he's been married off against his will, at least he has control over something in his life and secretly takes contraceptives. After an explosive but cathartic argument, he begins to settle into his marriage with Roy and realizes he has a partner instead of an opponent; and, from there, comes to a decision about pregnancy all on his own.

Edward likes things to hurt a little. It wakes him up, steadies him, excites and calms his system simultaneously. He has ALWAYS liked it. And maybe, maybe if he'd had a normal life, maybe if he'd been a normal kid, it wouldn't have turned into a giant fucking issue.
But he doesn't get to be a normal kid. He doesn't get to have a normal life. So instead, it becomes the literal definition of a 'fucking issue'.

Summary
Ed could untie knots in the fifth and sixth dimensions -- blindfolded. He could convince the military he fell through a rabbit-hole, and he could even shut down a Drachman invasion (with a little help), but he can't seem to avoid dating Roy Mustang (and maybe is kind of okay with that). But here's hoping they can collar a General trying to trigger a three-way war, and that they can stop him before he destroys the world.
Making himself walk instead of run took every ounce of composure he had, especially when he got far enough to see the city blanketed in a strange layer of dust and dark thunderclouds. The weather had been clear for miles around. Those clouds had the smack of weather alchemy about them.
He had to find his brother.
Spoiler Warning: End of first anime series, Conqueror of Shamballa movie.
