Summary
“You were drunk. I know it didn’t mean anything. Everything’s alright.”
Buck visibly winces. “That’s not — Eddie.”
There’s a suspended moment where Buck looks torn, standing on the edge of something, eyes fixed on the horizon to avoid looking at the drop, the precipitous canyon below. But then Buck, who can’t lie, who would tear his own chest open to a complete stranger on the street because the truth of him spills so loudly out of every jagged edge, sighs out:
“It meant something.”
There’s a ringing sound somewhere in the distance, getting closer. “What are you…” Eddie trails off.
“I wasn’t — well, I was drunk. But that wasn’t what. Wasn’t why. Not entirely, or — god.” Buck shudders in a breath, steeling himself. “I have feelings for you.” He closes his eyes. “I’m so sorry.”
~
Buck confesses his feelings. Eddie’s straight. If he spends all his time thinking about Buck and looking at Buck and wanting to be around Buck, well, that’s just being a good friend, isn’t it? He’s being so normal about this, actually.

Summary
“Eddie and I did ballroom competitions together back in the day!” Alan announced proudly. “Wait, Eddie! You were so good back then, maybe you could fill in for Val!”
“I - Um.” Eddie stammered. “That was so long ago, I don’t know.”
“Oh come on, you were always able to pick up choreography like that!” Alan snapped his fingers. “He was the envy of everyone West of Chicago.” He faux-whispered to the now-gathered crowd of dancers and crew.
“Eddie, what is he talking about?” Buck hissed.
“I may have been a champion ballroom dancer when I was a teenager.”
OR The 118 responds to a call during the DWTS simulcast and Eddie ends up doing more than he bargained for.

Summary
Buck takes one look out of the corner of his eye and he knows. He knows that glassy-eyed gaze he sees on Eddie's face, the one he's only seen once before on the night Eddie had found out that everyone he'd saved had died anyway. So Buck knows he's running out of time, and that if he doesn't do something soon he might lose Eddie forever.
Eddie feels like shit, but he likes it that way. Because he is shit. He's a piece of shit and everyone should stop trying to pull him out of the hole he's digging for himself.
And Sophia? Sophia's doing amazing. Her life couldn't be better, but then she gets a phone call that sends her on the next flight to California and into far too many conversations with the absolute asshole her brother has managed to get involved with. (Who the fuck even goes by Buck?)
