“Nah,” Mista replies, throwing an arm around Fugo’s shoulders. His fingers graze Giorno’s hair, but don’t massage his scalp like he could. “Once I thought about it, I realized that if I ever hooked up with Giorno, then I would have gotten with four people from our old squad, which would be super bad luck. So I’m good where I am.”

It only took him a moment to realize what it was that he had coughed up, and his heart sank. He didn't need to call the doctor anymore; there was nothing they could do to help, at least nothing he wanted right now. Fugo wadded up the tissue and threw it away and crawled back under his covers, eyes burning as he tried not to think too hard about the little blue petals now resting in his trashcan.
Marigolds, carnations, forget-me-nots, hyacinths, and cyclamens—these are the flowers that would irreparably change Fugo's life from the moment they began to make him cough and pour out of his mouth. “You’re meant to be somewhere, but I would advise against it.” Gold Experience Requiem’s voice was just like Giorno’s, but it was entirely flat and without inflection, nearly robotic.
“I cannot see the future, but I am aware of the currents of reality and the eddies of fate,” Gold Experience Requiem started, and Giorno turned back to look at Mista and Fugo, swiftly putting the pieces together. “There is a disturbance and it’s connected to me, somehow.” His hand lifted halfway up to his shoulder, but he forced it down before he clutched the star-shaped mark on his shoulder. “No, it’s connected to my blood, to the Joestars.”
Bound by blood, but not his family. Passione was famiglia, and Giorno had all the family he needed in the form of Mista, Fugo, Trish, and even Polnareff.

This is primarily a plot and character-driven "what if Giorno and his inner circle escaped the universe reset?" story. There is at least one ship involved, but it's not very obvious and romance isn't the focus of the story.
COMPLETE! Used to be updated more or less daily. Finished at a nice, round 250 kudos. Thank you!

It was at that moment Giorno became very certain that every single word of the letter was true. He wasn't alive, if his understanding of vampires was accurate. He couldn't keep food for alive people down, he couldn't keep something that was alive in his body. With horror, he realized Vuitton had hit an artery, after all.

Summary
Walking around with pale skin, to someone like Giorno, is the same as walking around with shiny advertisements stuck to your back. Paler skin is very nearly transparent; leaves less to the imagination. The veins in Fugo’s wrists stand out, blue and purple guidelines to the heart, all the way up his arms. When his bangs blow back in the wind, there are more- skinny teal branches along his temples. Tantalizing.
