No matter if another boy would say his father was an earl or a duke, he could be a king and Anthony would still think higher of his own father.
The duty that came with the title never scared him before, it wasn't to fall onto his shoulders until later in life. Even then he had known he wouldn't be alone. He almost wanted to laugh at how certain he had been, when, in fact, he knew nothing at all.

She wiped her face with a towel. Either she was about to get new orders, or an evening off. It was better to face Dimitri on her feet, so Rose stood up while he did his light-foot prowl walk over. It was probably meant to be low-key, but he had a look that put it more like male model trying to show off boring clothes.
“Rose.”
Her name was a full sentence to him. He had about four more on his quota, and then he’d have to be mute until tomorrow. It made her listen closely, because repeating himself seemed impossible for him.
