"They’d discussed this. Aizawa didn’t mind a surprise scene. In fact, he found the idea very appealing. Yagi was less certain that a surprise scene of any kind would be a good idea with a pro hero. Someone could get hurt. The non-consensual type of hurt. And Yagi didn’t want any mistakes in their play. It was then that Aizawa revealed just how in tune to his surroundings he was, and how he always knew when it was Yagi coming in the teacher’s lounge without even having to look up. Yagi’s cologne was distinctive. No, it wasn’t overpowering, Aizawa had assured him. It was subtle. But Aizawa used it to identify him anyway. He’d long ago learned to pick up on subtleties most people take for granted and this hypothetical surprise scenario would be completely safe.
It was for that reason that Aizawa didn’t flinch when his arms were forced behind his back and his hair was pulled tightly, forcing him to look straight ahead. "
