Ok, so maybe Peter took the job (internship, whatever) to be around Wade, and yeah, maybe that wasn't exactly professional of him, but sue him, he wants to spend more time with his boyfriend!
Ok, no, don't sue him, Peter is poor.

Summary
When he is five, Peter wants to be a scientist. When he is twelve, he gets superpowers but also promises a dying man he'll have a happy life and be the best scientist who ever lived. By twenty-two, he is over-educated, trained to become Spider-Man, excited to sign the fifth iteration of the Sokovia Accords and desperately yearning to see his soulmate's colors on his skin.
This is a soulmate story where Peter and Tony don't meet until Peter is an accomplished scientist in his own right. There was no Snap, and Peter is trying to lead his best life and keep promises to dying loved ones despite having the Parker luck.
