Summary
Mirabel always knew she was an affair child, after all she was the daughter of Julieta and Félix.
She always blamed herself for the feud between Julieta and Pepa that only grows as the years go by.
And to rub salt into the wound she is denied a gift furthering her belief that she was the Madrigal that was never supposed to be.
When Mirabel discovers the cracks leading to the discovery of Bruno's vision she believes this means she is the punishment provided for a love not allowed and flees the Encanto to live with her 'kooky' older sister Dolores who is fleeing from her own unjustified reputation.
The two live peacefully and freely looking forward to the monthly visits from their father, here no one judges them and no one knows their past. It's a clean slate for both of them.
That is until Alma and Bruno turn up at their door desperate and begging for them to come back.
The family was breaking and the magic starting to die.
And Mirabel was the only one who can help.
