    When the time comes for the formal event of the evening, Obi-Wan is startled by some revelations of his own.

    Following the previous eventful day of negotiations and an even more interesting diplomatic dinner, Jango is excited for the mornings training session. Obi-Wan is going to be there and he's supposedly going to be wearing armor. When the Jedi finally arrive and join the Mandalorians, things get interesting quickly. Jango is fairly sure he's going to end up with emotional whiplash at this point, if the stares from his father, sister, and best friend don't burn a hole through him first. As far as Obi-Wan is concerned, he's certain that he has the absolute best friend in the galaxy. Not that he'll admit that to Quinlan.

    After two years of careful planning, Obi-Wan makes the decision to Fall. It saves the galaxy.
    Or,
    Obi-Wan is told that there is a Sith controlling the Senate. If there is one thing Obi-Wan has spent his life pursuing, it is the truth. So he opens his ears, and his eyes.
    He becomes a High General, yes, and The Negotiator, but there is more.
    He becomes a whisper collector, a shadow follower, an echo creator. What is the difference between negotiating and manipulating?
    He is the rebellion, even if there is no true word for it yet.
    Palpatine may think he is the puppeteer, but there's always a bigger fish, and this fish has friends.

    The war is over, Palpatine is dead, and Cody is the one trusted to pick up the pieces. If only he knew how many pieces there were, or what Obi-Wan had expected him to do with them.
    Obi-Wan is a separate issue. Cody has been a lot of things - vod’ika, ori’vod, Commander, Kote - but forgotten wasn’t one of them, until now.
    His to-do list already includes free his vode, find them safe lives outside of the GAR, dismantle the GAR, deal with Kamino, help fix the Order, help fix the Senate, learn how to wear civvie clothes, and find out what the hell is up with these Echoes; why wouldn’t he add ‘make the man you realized too late you were in love with remember you’ to it?
    Continuation of “Inspired at Heart to Sing Your Own Death Song”, will not make sense without reading the first part.
