Summary
Sharp punches and starry vision. White knuckles on a gun. Syringes littered and ashes burned into wood. Complete and utter filth.
Mickey didn’t hear anything, the ringing in his ears seemed to drown what his father screamed, anger seeping out of his face.
He didn’t feel the second hit nor the third but he knew it was bad, the blood was a testament.(Some snippets of mickeys youth)

Summary
Mickey's eyes are big, wide with nothing but hurt. His body sinks in dismay, a deep staggered breath, "You're fuckin' kidding." The words come from deep in his throat, frail sound like a wounded animal.
"Can we just talk for a second—" Ian pleads, unable to stop Mickey from storming past him. His body stiffens with regret, cursing under his breath.

Summary
Mickey Milkovich, 26, is a tough, closeted ex-con and reluctant dance dad doing his best to raise his seven-year-old son, Yev.
Life’s been a grind—he’s broke, burned out, and recently booted from a snooty dance studio after clashing with the elite moms.
Enter Fallen Angel Ballet, a new studio run by Ian Gallagher, a former world-renowned ballerina whose career was tragically cut short by a hate crime.
Mickey doesn’t give a crap about Ian’s past—he just wants a scholarship for Yev. But when the gruff road crew worker and the disciplined dancer collide, sparks fly. Beneath their hardened exteriors, they discover pieces of themselves they thought were long gone.Bookmarked by S41em

There’s an ache.

Summary
“Hey,” he ducks his head as if to look into his eyes. “Mick, it’s okay. Just let go.”
After a moment his husband lets out a choked sob and breaks down crying. Ian knows what questions are bothering Mickey right now. Why do I care about him? Why was he such an asshole?
Why was he doing this to me?
Ian gets it, how can he not? They are so painfully familiar. But some time ago he figured that some people simply don’t deserve to be parents, and some kids are unlucky enough to depend on those bastards.
“C’mere,” Ian murmurs and positions them to lie down on the bed. He tightly envelops Mickey in his arms and buries his nose into raven hair. “I’m so sorry.”
//or how Ian should've supported Mickey when Terry died (fuck you John Wells).
