The next thing Alex knew she was on the ground. In pain. The worst of it was radiating up from her knee. Alex didn’t realize it was also coming from her elbow until she reached for her knee. “Fuck,” she groaned, bracing one arm with the other and trying not to move her knee. Alex also noticed the blood, but there wasn’t enough to worry her, though that may have been the pain talking.
