    TheChosenOne: today I woke up late, got a Pokémon that hated me, got a phone from mew, found out I’m the chosen one, whatever that means, got attacked by a whole flock of spearow, earned my starters respect, maybe, fell in a river with my injured starter, got fished out by an angry girl, stole a bike, rode to the nearest town, got stopped by police, escorted to a center, which was quickly attacked by team rocket, and played a part in blowing up that center, how was everybody else’s day?

    "Coric, there's no time for this," Rex swatted at the medic's hands as Coric leaned in to examine the long cut on his neck. It only earned him a swat back from the medic who refused to be deterred.

    "Hold still." Bedraggled from his two months of captivity, he was still the same commanding medic he'd always been.

    "It looks worse than it is," Rex tried to argue, trying to hide the wince that speaking brought on.

    "He tried to tell us the same thing," Fives addressed Coric, both of them ignoring Rex's muttered litany under his breath that he was 'fine.'

    Coric's face was impassively neutral, as it always was when he was in medic mode. But, then his eyes rose up to meet Rex's gaze and worry dropped into his tone. "You are coming back with us, right?"

And if that didn't work out I would start crying, maybe steal a couple tragic backstory plot lines from Marvel, and guilt trip you into thinking 'Oh no again! Me being his guardian is better than him hiring a man named Ben to pretend to be his uncle and die on the street from a bullet wound!'. And if that didn't work... I memorized the lyrics and choreography to 'Hard Knock Life' from the 1976 musical Annie. I think you can guess what my goal for that was,"
