Summary
Jiang Cheng went to Cloud Recesses in order to sign some agreements but came back home with a little child instead.
Said child was not just the usual child though - it was the de-aged Lan Sect Leader, Lan Xichen, who was supposed to be in seclusion - and more importantly, was constantly changing forms between human and dragon.
In a careless moment Jiang Cheng offered Grandmaster Lan to take the boy to Yunmeng with him for healing and Lan Qiren actually agreed.

Instead it made him feel resoundingly stupid - like the truth had been dangling before him wearing a label and he’d still missed it entirely.

Jiang Cheng did not give a lot of thought to his death anymore, far too busy worrying about sect problems and nephew problems and dead brothers coming back to life problems.
He was absolutely sure of one thing however— it would be his hatred that would kill him in the end.
And thus, the absolute fucking irony that here he was, choking to death on his love, was un-fucking-believable and typical, really, of the shit-show that had been his life.
Of course, not even death was going to be easy for him.

When Jiang Cheng wakes up, he takes a moment to simply bask in the warmth of the bed, his eyes still closed against the daylight that’s already falling through the window. It is only when he curls towards where Lan Xichen should be that he blearily opens an eye, because Lan Xichen is decidedly not in bed.
Or, well, he is, but he is in his rabbit form.
Jiang Cheng can’t even pretend that he is too sad about that, because Lan Xichen in his rabbit form is still one of the cutest things he has seen and it immediately reminds him of all the times Jiang Cheng spend cuddling Spot in the clearing.
If he isn’t already as relaxed as he can get, he damn well would be now. But he still as a question to ask.

Zhou Zishu has heard many tales about this man—a deranged, ugly freak who apparently skinned alive the previous master on his own throne, strangled one of his own men and blamed it on another, inciting a deadly brawl among his own people. There’s one thing that he proves to be false among those string of rumors, though, and this Zhou Zishu scowls at himself for even noticing, is that he finds him nothing close to the ugly narrative. The man is beautiful, viciously attractive.
