The fire alarm continued to blare through the building, a harsh metallic pulse that dragged everyone from sleep whether they were ready or not. Doors slammed open one after another, half-awake cleaners spilling into the hallway in mismatched clothes and tangled hair.
“Alright… raise your hand or say here when I call your name,” Enjin said, scanning the list. August. Eishia, Zanka… Jabber” He paused. “Wait, Jabber?”
