Worse? Miles thinks dimly. How? How could this be worse?
And yet, watching those claws sink into metal, shaking with fury? Feeling blood trickle down his suit, staining the lab’s pristine floor?

Summary
Bruno and Mirabel are horribly abused by their family for being different. When Antonio is accepted as being part of the Madrigal family, once he gets his gift, Mirabel is happy that he will not suffer like her and Bruno. But the magic fails and the family can only blame Mirabel and Bruno.
Luckily, Bruno, Mirabel, and Antonio are kidnapped by Andre, a 30 year old man with a need for family and a strong will to protect. Will Andre be able to convince his new family that he means them no harm? Will he be able to take on the evil Madrigals to protect his new family?

"I don't need help, it's alright." Hobie eyes him, leaving a pause between them before sighing.
"I used to say that too you know?" Hobie muttered. Miles frowned staring at him.
"I don't think it's the same Hobie.." he retorted.
"Maybe not, I think it's gotta be at least similar though. You know, I see a lot of me in you." He hums. Miles frowns with confusion.
"In me?" he mutters.
"In you." Hobie reiterates.

When Miles Morales met Miguel, he wanted everything.
He could see a kid wanting it all, only to be told that he couldn’t have it. He could see a kid wanting safety, only to have that taken from him. He could see a kid who wanted to be protected rather than the one who protects.
He could see himself.
or; miles realises spider-man really can't save everyone. miguel is there to pick up the pieces whether he likes it or not.

The last thing Peter sees is Tony's horrified, heartbroken expression leaning over him. The guilt in his eyes is almost worse than the burning pain that's taking Peter apart piece by piece. The world starts to go dark.
There's a flash of gold and green. For one moment, he finds himself standing amongst the Guardians and others. And then darkness again. It feels like blinking; an extended period of nothingness that ends as abruptly as it begins. One moment there’s nothing, the next there’s light.
