Summary
But right now his hands were shaking too much. He was having too much trouble stopping the bleeding on his own. He couldn’t stitch himself up like this.
His hands never shook. He wouldn’t have survived as long as he had with unsteady hands. Steady with a rifle, steady with a pistol, steady with a grapple, steady with stitches.
But he wasn’t steady right now.
And goddammit he needed help.

Summary
He hadn’t meant to get in the way of the blast. He hadn’t meant to shove Bruce away. It had been automatic, instinctual.
Foolish.
Something Robin would do. Not Red Hood.
[Or: Jason's a little more injured. Dick a little less. Gotham isn't that big of a city.]

Summary
"I have scars too." It's an offering, something small and fragile clasped in his palm. Bruce offers the hand holding the dangerous vulnerability of his life to Jason, waiting.
Jason turns to look at Bruce over his shoulder, and Bruce sees the moment understanding fills the boy's eyes. Sometimes Jason acts too old for his age, filled with empathy beyond his years.
He reaches out and accepts the small offering, holding it carefully in his own damaged hands.
(The first time Bruce washes his son's hair.)

Summary
"Hey B!"
Bruce stills in his seat, and then, he laughs.
It's silent, and painful as it scrapes the bottom of his chest, and Bruce can't help but bring his hands up to cover his face. The house clothes he's wearing are suddenly too tight and too warm, and Bruce is sure he's about to die with how terrible he feels all of a sudden. Maybe Alfred had finally caved and poisoned Bruce's tea.
His eyes sting when he finally moves his hands away from his face, squinting at the sudden influx of light. Finally, Bruce spares a look to the empty seat in front of him.
For a moment, he sees a boy.
(There is a little ghost in Wayne Manor.)
