Summary
Based on the song: Change Your Mind - Alex Warren
Maddie heard from Chimney that Buck tried to leave the 118 again. She heard from Eddie how he didn't know how to talk to Buck anymore, scared that Buck would break any moment. She saw in Buck's eyes how much he had been hurting over Bobby's death, despite his mask. But his masks never worked on her because she was his sister.
The 118 was scared for Buck. They knew something was off, but they had been walking on eggshells around him for so long that no one wanted to be the one to talk to him. They didn't want to be the reason they may lose him. But Maddie was his sister. So at 3pm on a Wednesday, she was knocking on his door praying that he would open the door and listen to her.

Summary
Christopher starts shaking more violently then. “Buck jumped back in the water for me.”
There’s a protocol for a lot of scenarios, both in the Army and as an EMT. Eddie is used to knowing what to do, and how to do it; who to help, and where. Yet now, hopelessness splits through him like a bullet. Eddie doesn’t know what else to do other than hold his kid tighter and press his lips to his temple.
“Is that– Christopher?” Hen asks over his shoulder. The tiny pocket of universe that he’s created with just him, his son, and Buck’s name battering in his chest unravels.
Still keeping Christopher in his arms, Eddie rises to his feet. “I made Buck watch him for the day to get him out of the house. He– he brought him to the pier.”
“Where is he, Eddie?” Bobby asks carefully.
There’s a protocol for a lot of scenarios, both in the Army and as an EMT, but not for this.
