Jophiel loved spending time with Azazel. There was no point in trying to justify the reasoning anymore—he hadn’t done that in centuries. It wasn’t for intel or just to keep an eye out. It was simply because he liked Azazel’s company. And it was nights like tonight that had him smiling without a care. Just him, a nice glass of red, and Azazel. It was truly the best way to spend the night.

Oh, how Azazel lived for simple nights like tonight. Perfectly clear skies, moonlight shining through the windows. He and Jophiel lazily drinking in the back of his shop, just talking about whatever came to mind, both able to let their guards down. It was his favorite way to pass the time between assignments. It was nice. It was perfect.

They all ended the same—with one of them finally confessing, finally saying the words neither of them ever dared to speak, let alone dared to believe to be true.

Summary
Aziraphale hadn’t seen Crowley in years. After that stunt the demon pulled with the laudanum, he was pulled down to hell, no doubt for some sort of punishment for saving that young girl. Aziraphale tried to wait for awhile, hoping maybe Crowley wouldn’t be gone for too long. After two months of checking the graveyard every day, however, Aziraphale had to get back to his own assignments, much to his disappointment and worry.

Summary
Aziraphale never liked fighting. Yes, he was a Guardian, and he led a platoon during the Great War before the Fall, but he never enjoyed inflicting harm. In his opinion, he was made to protect. Why else would he be called a Guardian? So whenever the humans started another skirmish or fight or, god forbid, war, Aziraphale tried to stay away. Not too far to where he couldn’t lend a hand to someone wounded if need be, and he still had to report the happenings to Heaven, but he did everything in his power to not be pulled into the fight himself.
But, like today, It didn’t always work.or
Aziraphale runs away from a battle. So does Crowley. They find each other and talk for a bit.

Summary
Now that they were talking again, the demon mentioned having to go into where the war was still dangerously active, for an assignment he wasn’t even told the full reasoning of. Aziraphale insisted he go with Crowley in case something went wrong, and Crowley didn’t argue.
Aziraphale was glad of that, but also regretting it with the way he couldn’t seem to breathe. The building Crowley had been in wasn’t a building anymore. It was smoking rubble, having exploded from the inside.or
Aziraphale thinks something happened to Crowely. He's right, but it's not as bad as he thought.

The Apocalypse was just a few years away, he was working as a gardener/godfather at the Dowling residence, and Heaven has had him running around London performing miracle after miracle, blessing after blessing, for reason he hasn’t even been made aware of. Aziraphale was tired and achy and, as blasphemous as it may be to even think, quite sick of being led on what felt like a wild goose chase. And on top of it all, Gabriel has insisted on extra long reports about basically anything and everything regarding the human race.
Had it not been Heaven commanding him, Aziraphale would think he was being pranked.or

‘Here’ being a cliff far from the city. In the middle of the night, in the middle of nowhere. Just the two of them. He’d gotten a text earlier that day from Aziraphale asking to meet up as this specific spot, at this specific time. If he didn’t know who Aziraphale was, he’d be convinced he was about to be murdered. Or discorporated, at least.
But, he did know Aziraphale. So, as soon as it turned midnight, he snapped himself over via miracle.or
