Sometimes, it felt impossible that it had been a decade since he met Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Since he dated Marinette Dupain-Cheng. Since he broke up with Marinette Dupain-Cheng.
They hadn’t stayed in touch, even though she’d been the only other person consistently with him after his father’s arrest. Ladybug had all but disappeared – and even if she had been there, it would have been impossible to hunt her out as Chat Noir. He had never begrudged her that – why would she care about the model, Adrien Agreste?
But he didn’t spend his time thinking of Ladybug, not half as often as he thought of Marinette. Nearly a decade later, and he’d still think of her every time he encountered a splash of pink.

They still had too many boxes to open, between them. They hadn’t even touched Lily and James – that was almost too painful. At least there, some of the story was well known. June had no one to remember her by, while practically everyone knew the story of James and Lily Potter. They’d open those boxes, too – one by one. Wrench one knife from the heart, and then the other. But for now – there was the twilight, the grave, and the bits of grief they had collected together.
Or: Sirius has a layover at Remus' apartment before going on the run.
