He talks, he doesn't remember what about, but he does remember feeling Noah’s body get heavier as he does, his fingers slowing further before stopping from where it was feeling the threading of his seat and just laying motionless.
He remembers being suddenly very interested in the freckles on his face, the tips of his curls slightly illuminated by moonlight. He remembers feeling weirdly enraptured and weightless, like he wasn’t able to look away but that didn't matter because Noah was here, in his seat, looking more relaxed than he had seen him since they’d been on this mission.
He remembers not being able to watch anything else for the rest of the night.

"That hurt. Like really hurt." Chai was looking down at his leg in disbelief.
"Are you okay?" Peppermint asked again, now seriously worried once more.
“Ow, ow… It’s fine, I’ll just walk it off,” Chai managed to say, voice strained with pain. A moment later, there was another crash as Chai fell right back into the pile of debris. “Okay, you know what, nevermind… I think I’m just gonna… lie down.”
Peppermint narrowed her eyes, sending off a command to 808 to give her a reading on Chai’s vitals and see what’s wrong. His heart seemed fine, though his stress levels seemed quite high. It wasn’t until Peppermint saw the scans for his leg did she finally understand what was wrong.
“Your leg’s… broken, Chai,” she said, unable to believe what she was saying.

"Look at me!" The Spot cried, but Miles couldn't. No, he couldn't look at The Spot, everything in his field of vision came down to two patches of blood. Even from the height Miles was at, he could still make out a light blue scrub uniform.
"...mami? Dad?"
It was a week after Spot's attack, a week after Spot was...neutralized by Spider Society, 'posed too great of a threat to be kept alive' is what the report read. The report Miles didn't fill out, mostly because he's not an 'official' member of the Spider Society, after all, why would they want to have an anomaly (the original anomaly ) on their side?
With his dad in the ICU and his mama's funeral coming up, Miles has been spending a lot of time between an apartment he shared with a few strangers (and a baby) and the counselors at school.
What does he do when he gets a message from Spider Society, asking for a meeting? -
