Summary
Dr. Daniel Cain is hired to investigate a family's estranged relative, said to be involved in dark practices. He ventures to Switzerland to meet this Lord West and see if he is the madman everyone makes him out to be. But when Dan arrives in the quiet village of Birkdort, he finds that the people there do not think kindly of the mysterious man who lives in the castle atop a hill plagued by death. But Dan is determined to see his mission through, even if it means his own doom.
