Summary
She sits up, blinks slowly, lets the not-pain wash over her. It’s not happening to her. It’s happening to someone else, and she is just watching.
There’s a boy in the alley in between the ramshackle houses. He’s leaning against the rough wood, curled in a ball, clutching a stale-looking loaf of bread to his chest. His face is dirty and his hair is choppy and dull black, and he’s staring at her with wide, wide, golden eyes.
She stares back at him. It’s all she knows how to do.

Giyuu’s vision is filled with blue.
It clings to his eyelashes and drips hot, and sticky down his face. The color is everywhere, and Giyuu can’t find it in himself to mind. It rolls in rivulettes from his cheeks to his collarbones, and if he tries really hard, he can make out the silken texture between his fingers.

Summary
Growing up in the Anakt Group isn't easy; while it appears like a nice church on the surface, the children inside know that it's fiercely competitive and a fight to survive. The first time Ivan saw Till, he knew that this was someone he would do anything to protect. The first time Till saw Ivan, he knew this was someone really... really annoying.
With struggles comes hope, and with hope comes despair. All Ivan desires is the happiness and safety of his friends, the people he loves, and he will achieve it at any cost. What he doesn't realize is that sometimes, happiness includes having you around.
Orphanage and adoption and abuse from the "aliens" which are really just the humans all around us; how will Till be able to understand a world he was isolated from, and will he be able to realize what he has before it's gone?

“Nezuko,” he began, getting her attention. Pink eyes with slit pupils met his own, filled with tears. Unlike their past meeting, there were no growls tearing her throat as he approached her, nor bared fangs. Hitching breaths shook her small frame; drool slipping past her muzzle. Prominent veins strained in her forehead as she stared at the body before her, but she looked disgusted with the blood that stained her hands. Body stiff, she turned towards him. “We need to leave before the sun rises.”
Or, Nezuko didn't wake up in time to save Tanjiro from Rui's web that day on Natagumo mountain. Giyuu can't bring himself to leave her all alone, so he tries to take Tanjiro's place in the Kamado siblings' search for the cure.
