It is hard to hear anything over the rush of blood in his ears, but he is trying desperately to pay attention to the princess's speech. She does not seem particularly happy about giving said speech, halting several times as if to gather strength to say her next words. Link attributes this hesitance to his youth. It is common for other knights to underestimate him in training due to him being a foot shorter than the lot of them, but he never failed at proving them wrong. This is a retelling of Link’s memories from breath of the wild, from Zelda’s perspective. It won’t be completely canon -- it’ll be pretty faithful, but characters and exact scenarios will be adjusted slightly based on my own headcanons.
