Summary
There had been so many leaders by now... He felt exhausted. Human after human grasping power and holding onto it as long as they could. Soviet thinks that he hates them, but he cannot be sure anymore. His entire existence is crumbling around him and in the debris he finds all that he had broken. As the control of the strings loosens, Soviet is privy to the extent of the violence that he had committed, not in his right mind, but did it matter, when it had been his body breaking bones?
In the end, only the forgiving embrace of the void can silence the pain, just for a moment. His only escape.
Despite knowing it ever since Russia had opened his eyes, ever since he had brought others into his home, Soviet finds that he is afraid of what comes after he loses it all.((Warnings in tags, again, this is pretty heavy. Take care of yourselves!))

Summary
Soviet hated himself. The cracks are beginning to show as the strings which control him reveal themselves to be quite a bit more dangerous. In a world where a single misstep could result in the annihilation of the entire world, they fight wars through smaller countries pulled apart. Cruel and bloody... There is no end in sight, and Soviet continues to rot.

Summary
It hurt. It always hurt, these days. Only a bit less than the fact that Soviet still loved his enemy, despite not admitting as such to anybody.
They still fight, for what other choice is there? Moving upon silver strings, like puppets of the moods of their rulers. Monsters in charge of monsters. God help them all.((Please take care when reading this one, guys! While I often bump the ratings up just to be sure, I have a feeling that this one is a bit more... intense than the usual ones- Read tags for warnings!))

A self-fulfilling prophecy is just enough to give the son of the Russian Empire the last nudge he needed. A young country turned revolutionary, forced to dirty his hands with first blood. His story had already been decided from the very beginning. First, he would soar. Then, he would fall. And fall hard.
And a regime is digging its claws into the young one, slowly eroding his free will, manipulating him behind the scenes. Summary
The life of two twins, separated as payment for the sins not their own. As they struggle to adapt to the post-WWII world, more cracks are showing through the facade. Something is deeply wrong with USSR, that same issue which Reich seemed to have had. And yet, there is no way out. The Iron Curtain had descended over Europe, the Berlin Wall is being built and the crushing differences between East and West are starting to become impossible to ignore. The Cold War had just begun, and with it the single biggest threat to the entire world.

As Reich is getting used to life in a cage, Soviet decides to pay him a visit. Just a short interlude to give the characters some time to breathe and reflect, surprisingly fluffy all things considered.

Summary
Control based upon fear does not last forever. When one falls upon hard times, control slips from their fingers, and their pet monster may just do the right thing for the very first time upon the urging of the only country to properly understand his circumstances. For he is in the same situation, even if it isn't yet obvious.
He had always been destined to fall, though perhaps, that might not be so literal. Maybe, just maybe, the void had other plans for him instead of just letting him die after twelve years of existence.
Countries are not supposed to keep on living with no people, no land and no leaders, and yet this monster does, and in exchange for the physical, his mind is clear. For the first time ever, he can properly understand all that is happening around him from his place in that cell.
Perhaps this will be a good thing, with a new kind of war on the horizon. A very, very cold one.((Completely skippable if you are uncomfortable with any of the themes already discussed in the previous 'chapters'! This whole thing is only loosely connected, so if you know a bit about history you should be fine just reading only certain works))

Summary
The division of Poland and some thoughts on the topic of a partnership between two horrible beings. And how that partnership eventually becomes something more, with all the conflict it brings.
After all, both of them are monsters, and monsters are not meant to love. This had always been doomed to fail.

Summary
Weimar is slowly starting to buckle under the pressure placed upon him. Resentment grows within his humans, and Weimar himself is not helping, either. His policy starts to grow harsher the longer this goes on, not to mention that new voice in his head. A sign of things to come, perhaps, for the Great War will not be the end.
