He thought Nari was charming but this guy? Next level. “It’s delightful to meet you, oh esteemed one. I was about to buy your friend here a drink-”
“He’s not a friend.” Haitham snaps, sharper than Kaveh expected him to be. When he tips his head up to glance over his junior’s face the bigger man has a dark, strained expression. “I’m his partner.”
