  2. Summary

A series of crossovers with Fate/Grand Order. The series currently contains the three crossovers listed below.

1.) An introduction/explanation for Fate/Grand Order so you don't have to read through the extensive wiki or slog through confusing terms.

2.) Fate/DC, which has the Batfamily as Servants. Some DC content will not be canon.

3.) Fate/Devil May Cry, which has the DMC cast as Servants. All DMC game, manga and prequel novel content is canon.

4.) Fate/Trigun, which has the Trigun cast as Servants. All Trigun manga and anime (both the original 1998 and the Stampede remake) content is canon.

5.) Fate/Jujutsu Kaisen, which has Ryoumen Sukuna | Pretender incarnating in canon with mentions of other JJK characters as Servants, also featuring JJK Servant profiles.

6.) Fate/Jujutsu Kaisen, with Ryoumen Sukuna | Alter Ego and Master of Chaldea Itadori Yuuji.

7). Fate/Jujutsu Kaisen, with Ryoumen Sukuna | Ruler, Ryoumen Sukuna | Berserker & Ryoumen Sukuna | Archer summoned to canon Shibuya.

None of the crossovers interact with each other, so if you're not interested in one or the other, don't worry about it.

    Summary

It's been 300 years since Xie Lian ascended for the second time and defeated Bai Wuxiang with the help of a nameless ghost. He's almost gotten used to the boredom, the constant accidents, the boredom, the occasional demon, and the boredom when he makes a friend who is strange, distractingly pretty, and keeps coming back.

It's entirely typical of his luck that this is also the moment when Heaven remembers his existence and urges him to come back to answer a few questions - most importantly, about the mysterious new worshipper who has been building him temples all over the country.

"Don't fight, don't fight," he says, slipping in front of the young man to placate the man selling lottery tickets. "Here, I'll pay for that."

"It's alright, daozhang," a deep and pleasantly lazy voice says from behind him. "I haven't taken anything."

The shopkeeper's face changes to a slightly sickly smile for some reason. "Y-yes, yes that's true daozhang." Then he turns away and appears to have become deaf to them. Xie Lian also turns away, smile dropping after a brief moment. It is a little tiring to face such rudeness from everyone but he has become used to it. It’s not a big deal.

The young man follows him to the end of the market, looking at him as if he wants to say something.

"It's alright," he says, summoning up a smile.

"It is?" The other man responds.

"I'm sure you didn't mean to cause trouble."

Straightforwardly, the man responds, "Yes I did. He was insulting my god."

    Summary

On Xie Lian’s hundredth birthday, a silver butterfly finds him: it is followed, shortly, by a fanged and feral ghost.

Xie Lian is leery, at first, and draws his sword to keep the ghost at bay as it circles him. It’s really only logical! The ghost is a beast of a thing—tall and whipcord thin, with matted hair and blood-caked boots and tattered robes. This close to Mount Tonglu, Xie Lian can only expect that it’s in the middle of the centennial ghost slaughter; as such, it will naturally be more aggressive.

Only, the ghost doesn’t attack him.

Xie Lian and Hua Cheng meet several centuries early, and Xie Lian must learn to live with the wild ghost who's taken a keen interest in him.

“What’s your name?” he asks, and the ghost cocks its head. “Mine’s Xie Lian.”

    “Dianxia,” the ghost insists.

    “Your name is Dianxia?”

    It snorts, shaking its head.

“Well, no one has called me that in a long time.” Xie Lian waves a hand dismissively—then, the thought occurs to him. “So how do you know…?”

The ghost really does smile, this time. Its eye crescents, and its ungodly fangs flash in the afternoon light. One side of its mouth curves up a little more than the other, making its smile crooked. It has dimples.

Xie Lian’s heart turns over helplessly.

“Are you from Xianle?” he asks softly. “Or Yong-an?”

The ghost nods, and Xie Lian closes his eyes briefly. He doesn’t clarify which one—it doesn’t truly matter. He failed them both.

“Then, I’ll take care of you,” he says, quietly, more to himself than to it. It’s the least he owes the trampled, discarded souls of all those he ruined. Saving one ghost won’t redeem him, but it feels like a good thing to do anyway. (It feels like something a precious, nameless ghost might approve of—if he were still here, and not dispersed into a million pieces because of one selfish god.) “Come on.”

    Summary

“It’s you,” Xie Lian gasped, winded from pure shock. He couldn’t believe it, he absolutely couldn’t, but his dumbfoundedness kept his mouth running when sense and doubt would have otherwise held his tongue. It had been centuries, but in this moment, Xie Lian knew- “You’re the boy who fell during the God-Pleasing Procession.”

    -

Centuries after the fall of Xianle, Xie Lian found history repeating itself in the form of a small, mysteriously familiar young boy falling to his death. Xie Lian saved him- of course he did. But little did he know, this strange boy and the secrets he held would challenge Xie Lian's heart like never before.

Xie Lian may have tried to leave the past behind, but the past, it seemed, was not so ready to let go of him.

Xie Lian’s body moved on instinct. Though his body was aching and tired, it was the work of a moment for him to flash across the distance and catch the child falling from the cliff’s heights. Up above, a sliver of brilliant blue sky broke through the clouds and threw a sunbeam down upon the cliff, as though the heavens themselves were directing Xie Lian to catch the falling child. With only Ruoye to protect him, Xie Lian leapt and threw his arms around the small body, landing solidly on his feet with a short exhale.

In his arms, the young boy twitched and shivered. His breaths came quick against Xie Lian’s neck, little puffs of terror that spoke volumes.

Xie Lian adjusted his hold on the young boy. With one arm, he held the boy close- with the other, he pressed the boy’s face to his shoulder, quietly saying, “you’re safe. Hold on.”

“Your Highness?” he gasped. “You- Your Highness, how is this pos-”

"I hope you are,’ his god interrupted him. Still shocked, Hua Cheng didn’t protest, falling silent to let him speak. "It has been... some time since I last heard from you. I hope you are at peace."

Since he last heard from him...? Hua Cheng furrowed his brows in creeping confusion.

"I am sorry, I don’t have much to offer you at this time... I found some flowers you might like, though. You did like flowers, didn’t you? Or perhaps that was just for me."

Hua Cheng’s confusion grew into a niggling suspicion, and he went to speak again.

“Your Highness, this one loves flowers,” he said, waiting to see-

"...Be well, husband. I will speak to you again once I have procured a better offering."

Hua Cheng’s legs buckled beneath him, and he crumpled to a heap under the tree.

    HUSBAND!?

    Summary

Xie Lian's last believer is so fervently devoted to him that he seems to think mostly in the form of prayer. That is a terrifying prospect. Xie Lian has never heard of such a case before, not even in hypotheticals, and he finds himself hoping, for his believer's sake, that there is some other explanation for this phenomenon.

Whatever the reason, a low stream of his believer's thoughts hum in the back of Xie Lian's consciousness.

His believer does not seem to be aware of it.

    _

When Xie Lian ascends for the third time, he is welcomed back to godhood with prayers that he hadn't expected: an ongoing stream of thought from his sole remaining believer. He gathers quickly that this believer is very old, very powerful, and very, very much in love with him.

For his believer's sake, Xie Lian can cast a spell to shut the prayers out—but only if he has access to spiritual energy.

You will have temples again, Your Highness, I swear it. I will build a hundred thousand temples for You.

    Mustn't pray. I won't say it out loud. I couldn't burden Him. I don't want to scare Him. I know, I know I'm scary, I'm sorry

Xie Lian blinks at the delicate golden-green leaves fluttering over his head. The breeze is dry and sweet, like a kiss on the cheek.

What kind of man is this believer?

By now, Xie Lian is certain that he isn't praying on purpose. It's tragically endearing, how this man worships Xie Lian with his whole being and still tries to be subtle about it.

What might Xie Lian say to him when they eventually meet?

'It's okay,' Xie Lian could begin. 'I'm not scared of you. Actually, could we hold hands? I am desolately lonely.'

No. No, Xie Lian will have to start with, 'I'm sorry. You have made a terrible choice in your god. I let you down. Do you happen to have memory loss? You must have forgotten all of the catastrophic failures.'
