Summary
“Right! You have her, and you have them. But…” Deanna leaned closer into Laudna as she continued, lowering her voice. “But I think I know someone else who might be feeling pretty scared and alone right now too.”
Laudna looked at her confused for a moment before realization hit her. She followed Deanna’s gaze to the Liliana, who, stripped of all pretense and mystique, looked… vulnerable. Fragile and frightened. Her brows were furrowed as she hunched over Imogen. She seemed to Laudna to be a wilting flower in some forgotten crevice, stretching solely for the guiding light that was her daughter. In that moment, Laudna had never understood a person more intrinsically.
----
The process of expelling Predathos proves to be a harrowing challenge, leaving Imogen's very essence rended. In order to restore her and reclaim their simple cottage life, Laudna must enter Imogen's mind and gather the fractured pieces of her psyche. Luckily, she has the help of someone with experience of reaching out to Imogen within her very dreams.

“…and really it was my fault for the number of items that I wanted to display. The physical limitations of this space can be a bit of a challenge, but with some proper finessing I find that I’m able to make it–” the voice continued. Then, seemingly concerned at Imogen’s sudden pause, “Are you alright? Do you need anyth– Oh.” The voice came to a stilted halt.
Oh. It was– She wasn’t imagining things, then. Oh. Imogen didn’t look up. She refused. Maybe- maybe this was just a strange dream. A strange, horrible, cruel dream. Maybe if she stayed still long enough, she’d hear the distant blaring of her phone alarm and soon she’d be back in her hotel room, cuddling against a stuffed horse and none of this would be happening at all.
“I… Imogen?” the voice said, after a moment. The shape and sound of her name ringing out and washing over her mind like no time had passed at all. Fuck.
---
Dr. Imogen Temult is a Professor in Sociology at Dayal Hall University in Jrusar. After taking a sabbatical for her second book project on folklore and rural queer community building, Imogen finds herself in a small archive in the Heartmoor Hamlet where the archival record invokes the ghost of her past as much as ghosts of myth. -

Summary
Imogen has the sudden urge, then, to etch the moment into her mind. To take in every last detail of this fleeting temporal slice that's been afforded to her. Here she was, in some old as fuck city sleeping in a fucking mountain-sized tree, just after speaking to every head of fucking who-knows-what on the godsdamn planet. They just got done being rubber banded across continents, feeling the warbly pull and jarring shunt of a Teleport spell more times than she could count in the last forty-eight hours, and she’s too wired on the ensuing rush of adrenaline that accompanied it all to even begin to think about sleep.
But that was then. And this is now. Laudna is here. With her. They’re here together in this massive, strangely homely tree snuggling up together in the dim hue of a fireless flame after playing fucking spin the bottle while the world is burning around them. She’s here, with Laudna.
----
During their jet-lagged late evening rest, Imogen and Laudna find some time away from the rest of Bells Hells to talk.

Summary
Imogen’s mind wandered to the first few times this discussion came up, during those early days on the road together. The situation, of course, was much different now. Gone were those ramshackle huts and rundown sheds. Gone was the need for working with only the odds and ends that they could scrounge up along their travels. Gone was the ever-present possibility they would have to abandon it all – all their hard work gone in a moment, undone by the violent whims of fearful townsfolk. No, this cozy little cottage they’ve chosen in the Heartmoor was theirs. Theirs for what Imogen hoped would be for a really, really long while.
So this meant they could get it right. They could take their time. And if Laudna wanted spend that time choosing the looking at more sets of drapes for the perfect shade of red (or wine or whatever, she wasn’t sure there was a difference), she damn well could.
OR
Laudna has been thinking a lot about weddings since her and Imogen moved to the Heartmoor.

Summary
Romantic is exactly what this would be, Laudna thought to herself rather proudly. She’s read books! So much of the last few decades was spent reading tales of gripping romance and enrapturing stories of love and fate. She would even spend time reading them to Pâté, hoping to teach him both some basic literacy and, of course, how to properly treat anyone that might catch his fancy. Okay, maybe she didn’t do a good job with Pâté she can admit, but that doesn’t mean she didn’t teach herself damnit! Fiddling with the delicate box that now sat in her bag, she smiled gently at the thought of Imogen’s reaction to her gift.
OR
Laudna wants to give Imogen the romantic date she deserves. And maybe a shiny new gift. What better time than in Zephrah when they have a moment to finally breathe?

Summary
"Lyn isn't just Lyn anymore. She's Lady Lyndis, and she's going to be the marchioness of Caelin, and one day she'll be married off to a lordling. Maybe they'll always be together, but Florina will just be her knight and attendant and nothing more, because Florina is just a foolish child with a crush on someone who will never see her the same way. So she'd buried herself in work, and every time Lyn had approached her she'd said she was busy and darted off, and they've barely spoken for three months, and now all that's left between them is unbreachable silence and emptiness and the soft tick of the clock hanging on the wall. In fact, this is the first time they've been alone together since they arrived. It feels more 'alone' than 'together.'"
Or, five times Florina didn't kiss Lyn, and one time she did.

Summary
It was kind of infuriating how adorable Lara could be when Sam knew for a fact she'd killed dozens if not hundreds of men. Her best friend certainly contained multitudes.
"I wasn't saying you were into him, Lara. But he was definitely interested in you. Hence my excellently timed bailout."
----
Sam fights the uphill battle of dealing with her feelings for her best friend while containing her frustration at Lara's inability to recognize when others are flirting with her.Bookmarked by RedJadeMilkTea

Summary
“Fine!” she says. “All right, fine, if you’ll stop fucking talking and let me answer! It’s just that—well, what if she—I think that she—Ashton, what if she, what if she wants one of these?”
“A hat?”
Laudna throws it at him. “A wedding, you absolute monster.”
“Uh.” Ashton looks more amused than anything else, really; it’s insulting. They pick up the hat and put it back on her head. “Honestly? I’m pretty sure she’d just tell you?”
“That’s the problem,” Laudna wails, and she throws herself down into a disconsolate pile of knob-ended bones.Or: Lieve’tel married Laudna and Imogen, more or less. Right? Now, though, the Hells are enjoying a beach vacation for Jester’s wedding. And Laudna is panicking.
