Summary
Phainon scratches his head, debating the possibility of this creature being some kind of spy against the Flame-Chase. A human would be thrown out and arrested immediately, but something soft and cute and fuzzy like this could very well be an attempt to slip under their radar.
Although… the chimera maybe-a-spy is doing a terrible job at looking soft or cute. It’s the most sour-faced chimera he’s ever seen. Even the Garden of Life’s chimera literally named “Bad-Tempered” for attitude issues has never held such a fierce look on its face. This chimera probably-a-spy has a serious frown and flat expression. Its small body is wired with tension. Long, sharp claws scratch the marble ground.
“Aglaea?” Phainon asks. “What’s a chimera doing in the Hero’s Bath? Did the little fella get lost?”
The chimera’s eyes suddenly snap open, fierce gaze locking onto Phainon, and it growls.
In which Mydei turns into a chimera, Phainon panics, the other Chrysos Heirs aren’t as bothered as he thinks they should be, and shenanigans ensue.

Summary
Mydei receives a sacred heirloom thought lost to gods and time. He deduces the culprit with the skill of a war tactician and the patience of a wronged lover. Phainon, meanwhile, is dragged mid-day across Okhema like a sack of honor. A laurel is offered. A hand is kissed. Dignity is not spared. Kremnos: 1. Okhema: emotionally concussed.

Summary
Perdikkas comes into view, stepping closer to blink down at Phainon and Mydei on the ground. “You’re all here?”
Ptolemy scoffs, kicking lightly at the dirt. “Guess who has the extraordinary pleasure of being assigned the babysitting duty to the dumbass trio over here?” He rolls his eyes with a sharp sigh. “Not Peucesta, clearly. Lucky bastard.”
“Don’t lump me in with them,” Hephaestion protests. Ridiculous. Everyone knows who instigates the fights just as often as Phainon and Mydei.
“We don’t need babysitting,” Phainon says at the same time, words muffled as Mydei’s hand smashes his head into the ground, resuming their fight now that Ptolemy is distracted. Phainon almost bites down on the dirt by accident.
or; Phainon finds Mydei drifting at the Sea of Souls after Aedes Elysiae is destroyed. Pulling the other kid out of the water might be the best decision of his life

Summary
A throwaway comment about switching should’ve gone nowhere. But Phainon made the mistake of bringing it up again, and Mydei, ever the opportunist, decided to make an evening of it. A very long, very well-documented evening.
Or in which Phainon’s mouth writes a check his ass absolutely cannot cash.

In fact, he had no idea how to define their relationship―they weren’t friends, they were hardly colleagues, and he’d be damned if he let anyone find out he stayed in that man's house.
As their strenuous relationship begins shifting from bickering roommates to something more intimate, that very relationship becomes all the more ill-defined...
I.e. Kaveh is a terrible drunk and Alhaitham sucks at communication.
