Spoilers for 5x10 Wrapped in Red
“Let me do this,” Buck begs, gently tilting Eddie’s chin upwards. He moves to cradle Eddie’s jaw in his hand, his thumb tenderly rubbing at the tear tracks that are still visible on the other man’s cheeks.
“Take as much time as you need.” He says when he receives no objection, and when Eddie’s nod leaves him with his head down in something akin to misplaced shame, Buck places a soft kiss on his temple before he can second guess himself.
He lingers there for a moment as Eddie leans into his touch, and Buck doesn’t let himself think about the hitch he hears in Eddie’s breathing when he does it. Instead, he presses their foreheads together as his hands run down Eddie’s neck, to his shoulders, to his arms, where he squeezes them in a gesture of comfort and reassurance before heading out to the hallway in search of Christopher.
.It's been a whole week since Eddie announced he was leaving the 118. Now it's New Years Eve, and Buck's standing on Eddie's porch because he's tired of waiting, and he wants to make sure that Eddie knows he's not alone. No matter what.

Summary
It's December of 1944. Bucky's been overseas for nearly three years, and the hardship is starting to get to him. Not helping is the fact that his unit is stranded in the middle of nowhere, caught between hope for an impossible rescue and the dread of impending capture.
When Bucky's badly injured on top of everything else, he's left starving, exhausted, and in pain. He's forced to confront his mortality - as well as some yet-unspoken feelings - as he tries to reconcile what he wanted his life to have been with the future he's about to face.

Summary
“Buck,” Christopher says, a little breathless, “it’s time!”
Eddie snaps out of his love-stricken daze, catching Christopher’s mischievous grin in the rearview mirror, “Time for what?”
“The best song of the drive,” Buck answers, turning the volume up.
The first few notes of the song play and Eddie has to close his eyes. It’s the last song he expects, especially when he feels something close to nostalgia wrap like a coil around his chest. He’s fifteen again in the kitchen with his sisters and Eddie can not do this.
“This song?” He chokes out.
