Penelope Featherington has the opportunity of a lifetime! For the first time a group of students from the Academy in the Capitol have been chosen to shadow and assist the escorts for this year's Hunger Games. Penelope doesn't talk about it but her now deceased father was a Peacekeeper, and for six years she lived in 12 with her family while her father was the head Peacekeeper. While there she fell in love with a boy named Colin Bridgerton, the son of the District's mayor, and his entire family. Now five years later 16 year old Penelope is the top of her class and has her pick of any District and mentor to assist. She can't help but choose 12. It should be fine! There is no reason to assume there should be a problem even with four of the eight Bridgerton siblings in the running.
