Summary
The bar closed at 11pm, every night, on the dot. Not a single drop more would be poured as soon as the clock struck, every glass would be taken, every bottle corked, everyone annoyed except for Husk. Past closing time he could always be sure nobody would bother him. Nobody needed him for anything more than a cocktail in the day, and the patrons had usually shuffled off to flashier bars by that time of night anyway. Husk could retire to his own room in peace. So it came as a rather startling surprise when a knock arrived on his door at nearly two am.
OR: Husk receives a knock at 2am and Angel receives some gentle love.

Summary
There was always a certain shift that happened in Batman whenever he talked to kids that were hurt or scared.
He would speak more softly, maybe even kneel down in front of them to personally assure them that they were safe now. It made sense, Tim thought, to not want to intimidate those that he was supposed to be protecting.
And, it made sense on a deeper level too because Batman wasn’t just Batman, he was Bruce Wayne, and had only been a kid himself when he watched his parents die. He knew what it was like to be scared, to be upset, to be hurting.
But Tim Drake is not a child, he never has been. Sure, he was hurt and bleeding, and could very well be dying, but it wasn't like he deserves to have Batman speak to him so softly. Then again, this was what Tim always wanted, wasn't it?
